A Songwriting Course
4 Days · GroupAbout This Program
Song Studio is a 4-day intensive that bridges the gap between listening to music and making it. We start with the structural architecture — verse, chorus, bridge, and the mechanics of a hook — before moving into the deeply personal work of lyric writing.
Every session is built around real writing. You won't just learn theory; you'll be in the room, writing, getting feedback, and refining your ideas with hands-on mentorship from working songwriters. The goal is a complete song draft by the end of Day 4.
This program is for beginners who have always wanted to write, and for existing musicians who have ideas but don't know how to structure them. If you've ever hummed a melody in the shower and thought "that could be a song" — this is your room.
Curriculum
Understanding the anatomy of a song — verse, pre-chorus, chorus, bridge, and how each section serves a psychological function.
How to build and vary melodic lines, create hooks, and give your song an identity that sticks in the listener's memory.
Techniques for translating emotion and experience into language — specificity, imagery, and the art of the well-placed line break.
No theory background required. We cover functional harmony and how to pick chords that serve your song's emotional intent.
Structured peer and mentor feedback sessions that build your critical ear and help you identify what's working — and what isn't.
By Day 4, you present your completed song draft — a finished, notated piece ready for the next stage of production or recording.
